AN ISLAND DISTINGUISHED BY THE VIBRANTS COLOURS, AND EXHILARATED BY THE SEA BREEZE
The archipelago of the Aegadian, 15 miles off the West coast of Sicily, includes the islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo and the minor islands of Marone and Formica. Since 1999 the Aegadian Archipelago is the most extended (over 1523 km2) Italian Marine Reserve, and its sea, due of the hydrodynamic features of its bottom, is one of the cleanest and most transparent of the Mediterranean. Built in 1837 and named after its builder, the Genoese industrialist Eugenio Pretto, I Pretti, the artisan factory for the processing and conservation of the sardines, was sold in 1874 to the most inspired entrepreneur of the Florio Family, Ignazio Senior. The charm of I Pretti Resort, revels its supreme expression in the attention to details, the elegance and the strong character of its 16 Suites, 13 of which come with direct access to the Corte Giardino (Courtyard). Right in the heart of the Resort, just a few meters away from the hectic life of the tourist harbour and the centre of Favigana, unfolds an enchanting 2000 m2 mediterranean garden, a flourishing and peaceful place to enjoy breakfast, a drink, or simply to relax under the blue or the starry sky. Just a few steps separate you from the roof where a suggestive atmosphere embraces you along with the feeling of being on the deck of an old cruise ship. It’s the Terrace of I Pretti Resort, decorated by carpets of originals tiles from 1800s and overlooking the deep blue sea towards Levanzo. This is a privileged location where it is possible to dominate and enjoy the view of the gulf of Favignana with the Palazzo Liberty, designed by Damiani Almeyda for the Florio Family, the Harbour, the enchanting old Stabilimento Florio and the Castle on the Mount of Santa Caterina. All this without giving up the privacy, the calm and the glamour of an unforgettable holiday.
